We started from Fur Fins & Feathers Pet Care, Then we started to noticed something, specifically the frustration we saw our community experiencing in the many dog friendly buildings and establishments in the city we call home. Never mind our own frustrations regarding the time it took to clean our own outdoor spaces and pet care equipment. So, after a good bit of trial and error (in our own yards & very patient clients of our Pet Care sister company), we finally figured out the best method! From day on, we knew that it could change the lives not only our Fur Fins & Feathers clients but our community as a whole!
So there you have it, Poop! There is Goes! was born. Well, that and a secret love for 90's jock-jams.

Ensuring Water Purity: A Poop Talk with a Twist!
In the realm of discussions that adults dread and kids find endlessly fascinating, there's a subject that manages to captivate both: poop! Yes, it's the unspoken reality of waste, with myriad names like stool, waste, feces, or dung. It's a topic most would rather avoid, yet it's a crucial aspect of our daily lives. After all, everything that eats, well, eventually must…you know.
Fortunately, modern technology and infrastructure have blessed us with the means to manage our waste efficiently. However, amidst our focus on treating human waste, there's another culprit often left unchecked: pet waste, specifically, the bane of dog owners' existence – doggy doo-doo!
Let's crunch some numbers: In Pinellas County, home to a bustling population, there are approximately 132,000 licensed dogs. That's a whole lot of wagging tails and…well, you get the idea. Now, imagine each of these adorable canines contributing about a half-pound of waste per day. It adds up – to a whopping 66,000 pounds, to be exact! That's enough to fill 22 standard bathtubs each day, a truly mind-boggling amount.
Yet, here's the scoop (pun intended): surveys reveal that a staggering 40% of pet owners don't pick up after their furry friends. So, picture this: around 26,400 pounds of uncollected dog waste is left to linger, each day! And here's the kicker – just a single ounce of dog waste contains a staggering 23 million microorganisms of bacteria, twice the amount found in human waste. Talk about a not-so-cute surprise!
But fear not – there's hope on the horizon. Thanks to advancements in lab testing, authorities can now trace bacteria in water back to its canine origins. This breakthrough allows Pinellas Watershed Management to tackle the root of the problem head-on.
Our cherished local water bodies, from serene ponds to shimmering lakes, are at risk when contaminated with this bacterial onslaught. Fortunately, we all hold the power to make a difference, whether pet owners or not. By partnering with Watershed Management, we can ensure that our water remains pristine for swimming and fishing alike. After all, nobody wants to paddle in a pup-permeated pond, right? So, let's join paws – and hands – in keeping our waters clean and clear for generations to come!
